About the Art
Winchester Artists Network returns to the annual member show at the library after a hiatus since March 2020 when the WAN show was cut short due to the pandemic. Artists are pleased to be back and share their work with the community.
May’s exhibition features a variety of talented artists from Winchester and beyond. The artwork on view includes oil paintings, watercolors, acrylic paintings, collage, pastels, photography, textile art, ceramics, and mixed media work.
Participating artists: Theodore Cantrell, Ellen Carlisle, Diane Rubino Davies, David Feigenbaum, Trish Gannon, Mary Grassi, Mary Hummon, David Hummon, Kristine Kamikawa, Carol K. Keller, Denise Konicek, Carolyn Latanision, Carolyn Swett Leaf, Ruth Lieberherr, John McConnell, Deb O’Brien, Carolyn Sirois, Jay Sullivan, Martina Werner, John M. Williams, Meg Steele Wingerath, and Kiyomi Yatsuhashi.

Denise Konicek
Denise Konicek, a talented artist, classical singer, and well-known Winchester resident, passed away on April 17th. For more than the past sixteen years, Denise worked on mastering and then teaching quilting. Her intricate and striking quilts have been included in numerous juried exhibitions as well. The Winchester Artist Network (Denise was an active member) and the Winchester Public Library are remembering Denise by including two of her quilts in May’s WAN exhibit in the Library.
About WAN
Winchester (Massachusetts) Artists’ Network (WAN) was founded in 1999 to establish a working forum for local artists in our community.
As an organization, and with the support of the Winchester Friends of Art, WAN promotes the increased presence of art in our community through exhibitions, education and excellence in the visual arts.
Establishing connections among artists, educators, businesses, and community services remains our main goal.
